“One of the best stays I’ve ever had. On arrival we were greeted by lovely staff, who couldn’t do enough for us during our whole stay. The view from the room was breathtaking. The rooms themselves are large and have all the facilities required. We prepaid for breakfast and are so glad we did, absolutely delicious. Our only regret is not staying for longer. We cannot wait to return! Worth every penny.”

“Had a super lovely stay at this hotel. The beds were comfy, the room was modern and had lovely views from outside the property. However I will say “mountain views room” is a little deceiving as the windows in the room were small and had a beam covering them which made it a little difficult to really see out of them. But other than that we had a great stay and it was relatively affordable. ”

“Really enjoyed our time at Sherwood the last few nights. We had a 2 bed apartment next to the restaurant. The rooms are a little older, a bit quaint but very cosy. Beautiful view from the back windows across the lake. Stairs were really creaky and loud, not ideal when having to go downstairs to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Parking can get full in the early evening on Friday and Saturday night if there is an event on. Dinner at the Sherwood restaurant was amazing, recommend the Wagyu...

“We stayed here 16 years ago and it seems the furniture and fixtures & fittings were the same. Our L shape sofa had a stain. Couldn’t work out how to use the gas heater as it kept turning off. Comfortable stay and unbeatable lake side view. Dishwasher, washing machine and dryer were very useful. ”
