“This was a nice hotel in the Hoover area. It’s near lots of food options that you can walk to. The bed was pretty firm but overall, we had a nice stay.”

Had to use the main entrance every time due to the other entrances not working with our room key. Elevators were out while there but we were on the first floor and they were being repaired. Pool and pool area was dirty. Overall positive experience.”

“Checked in staff was nice. Room had a smell, mold in the bathroom on the walls (Blackmold), mold on the window casing. The TV speakers were broken. Due to the timing the office person offered to move us to another room, which we did. The second room didn’t have mold. Smelled. The outside of the property is nice, the rooms need updating.”

“Chose this hotel because it had cheaper rates than others of similar class in the area. The hotel is in pretty good shape except the fitness room is closed (this was listed at the time of booking) and the pool closes at 8, which makes it difficult to use if you have day plans.They have a pool lift chair but it was broken (as is usually the case in these types of motels) so we couldn’t use the pool anyway, but it did not look clean and had a green tinge to it. “I had a wonderful stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Birmingham/Hoover. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and the staff provided excellent customer service throughout my visit. I appreciated the spacious accommodations and convenient location. It was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and I would gladly stay here again when visiting the area. Highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers!”

“Hotel was dirty, floors were sticky, room smelled of mildew, AC did not work properly, phone in room did not work, bathroom light flashed like a strobe light and there was no mirror. The floors were dirty in there. After waiting for a maintenance man that didn't show, we suggested we move acrossed the hall, which was thankfully agreed to by the staff. Overall, would not recommend and will not be back.”
