“The Texas suite is delightful with a huge tub separate from the toilet and sink area. We have stayed here before and enjoyed the European ambience. The Captain’s room, where our relatives were to stay, however, had such a smell of mold, their skin promptly started itching and breaking out in a rash. They had to leave immediately to find other accommodation. So, sadly, we went, too. The staff was helpful and said they would seek mold inspection but were not able to refund our reservations.”

“The architecture is beautiful and the landscaping was lovely. The staff was so helpful and friendly. It was pet- friendly and the staff even brought my dog a bed to sleep on. “We will never stay here again. I will not recommend this hotel to friends or family. I reserved and paid for a room weeks before my stay only to be told, during check in, that my room was given away. Who does that?! The front desk person tried her best to help us. She tried switching our reservation over to a king suite which idk how that would have worked for 5 ppl but the reservation wouldn't switch over. She found a double queen available but when we got to the room, it was a disaster. It...

“We had dinner 4 of the 5 nights we were there, in part because we loved Brenda, the server. She was great!! We also loved Lisa who helped us in the evening when we were trying to play a board game. She noticed that we could barely see the board, and she brought over two little battery operated lights which were so excellent, we came home and ordered some online. Jose or Juan who drives the van and carries the luggage was alos excellent.”

“When I arrived there was no one there--staff or travelers. It's in a slightly creepy part of town. I couldn't figure out how to open the gate for parking, then realized from staff email to me that the clicker to the parking gate was on my bed and I'd find it once I got to my room. But since no one was there when I entered, it just felt creepy and unsafe. So I booked another hotel and didn't sleep at the Wanderstay.
