“The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna.”

“Die Bilder im Inserat versprechen nicht zu viel - die Aussicht vom Wohnzimmer und der Terrasse ist grandios. Ein wenig getrübt wurde der Aufenthalt dadurch, dass ständig gelüftet werden muss, weil das Holzhaus sonst etwas muffig riecht. Dass bei dem üppigen Mietpreis der Strom noch extra dazukommt, ist etwas übertrieben.”

“We stayed only two nights. The property is about 30 minutes outside of Oban at the edge of a smaller loch and just outside a small village. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, including when we had an issue (likely self-inflicted) with a washing machine. We would definitely stay again, and make time to stay longer and enjoy more of the area as well as the property’s many amenities. Strongly recommended.”

“We loved every minute of our weekend at Melfort. ..so our dog Bailey.the location is stunning and peaceful, the cottage we were staying was so clean and provides everything you need and it is so cosy and warm.i cant fault a thing.the pool was great,the restaurant is a plus with a good menu and good prices with super friendly staff.we loved ,loved the place..we cant wait to be back.thank you”

“This is the second time we have stayed in walled garden.cottage no. 2. My two grandchildren love it but.I think maybe it could.do with a.wee freshen.up. On the other hand I cannot praise your customer service highly enough, especially one of your reception staff named Alwyn. She was the nicest , most helpful lady I have ever come across. “An excellent discovery of the Melfort Village. Our cottage was perfect in every way. Clean and very cosy with all the essentials. The location is really good as if is slightly raised over the village and the view from the main area and master bedroom is stunning. You can see over the villages and through the lake. "Piccolo albergo in centro a Oban, recentemente ristrutturato, camere piacevoli, pulite per gli standard inglesi, anche se gli spazi sono ristretti. Silenzioso, abbiamo dormito molto bene. Non abbiamo fruito della colazione. Personale efficiente e gentile. Attenzione: non c'è ascensore e le scale sono strette; manca il parcheggio (nelle vicinanze c'è solo a pagamento)"
