“It's clean and it's cheaper than anything you'll get in Effingham. I've stayed here a number of times over the last ten years or so because it is perfectly situated between my home and destination. But the place is showing its age. The property desperately needs some upkeep. The rooms were refreshed a while ago and could stand to have another. Windows were filthy. “Breakfast was plentiful, a lot of options to choose from, and inviting. Coffee was passable with the addiction of chocolate milk and a sprinkle of cinnamon. The king size bed is a larger version, but the pillows were of unusual variety - I didn't find one that was good for me. They were large, some particularly heavy, and dense. We had a clean room and bathroom. It was easy to park.”

“The woman who checked us in is such a hard worker. The next morning she was running the desk and helping in the breakfast area as it was extremely busy. However…our room had just been cleaned and it had a weird smell. I always check for bedbugs at any place we stay. Bed sheets looked clean and fresh until I lifted the fitted sheet to find another mattress sheet cover and saw an area of brown something. I did take a photo. I would have had them comeback and change the mattress cover but we were...

“We’ve stayed often at the Super 8. It’s always clean and welcoming. Staff is great. This trip our plans changed and they adjusted our reservation without penalty - great service. The breakfast is modest, but so is the price!”

“Beds were ok. Bathroom was bad!! Looked like the ceiling above the shower was ready to fall in! Microwave didn't work, and breakfast was waffles which were sour! And only other option was toast and the toaster burnt that!go somewhere else everythi”

“Facility was clean, staff was great. I had an issue with the hair dryer in my room not working, and a staff member went out of her way to find another one for me. I appreciated that! The pool looked cloudy so I didn't swim so that was a bit of a disappointment. Overall, great stay.”
