“The first appearance was nice. Nice view of the bay and the bridge, nice appearance on the outside of the hotel. When we entered the room, the carpets obviously had not been vacuumed, the sliding glass door had no screen door (all the other rooms did have one), the room overall seemed dirty. Drawers in the night stand were filthy. We later found out the shower was barely spraying any water out. They didn’t have any other rooms to move us to, and had no one to come fix the shower for us. “I found the hotel and the rooms were clean and well kept. The parking was well lit and plentiful. The indoor pool was nice. Unfortunately I didn't try the breakfast but it smelled really good. I will definitely be returning to Hotel Salem. Thank you for a nice stay.”

“It’s a beautiful facility in a fantastic setting by the river. The restaurant was good and had a gorgeous view of the river. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was that we could hear both the room next door and above us. We could hear conversations next door that weren’t particularly loud along with the TV and a barking dog. We also heard footsteps from the room above. Other than that it was a lovely stay.”

“I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. We arrived to dirty, bug-infested rooms. Since it was late, our only choice was to use the hotel or sleep in our cars. Judging by the sketchy neighborhood, it was honestly a toss-up. The kids didn't appreciate getting bitten by bugs all night. The bathrooms needed major upgrading.
