“We chose this location primarily for its proximity to Denholme where we were staying for a friends birthday party. In particular , the main features were space for a family of 5 and being pet friendly . The host , Sophie provided all details needed and reassurance, as our first time booking a private house for an overnight stay . The price was reasonable for the accommodation and it did everything we needed . The area is a quiet pleasant suburb with a small convenience store round the corner ....

“This was an outstanding stay! Very comfortable. They had everything you could want/need in a short term rental. I was able to fix several meals in the kitchen with ease. The only hiccup was that the place hadn't been cleaned from the previous occupants when we arrived. It was an oversight that was quickly remedied with the cleaning crew arriving soon after we communicated the problem. The host was easy to reach and apologetic. Even with this minor inconvenience, I would definitely recommend this...

“A lovely, clean and modern house, with everything we needed for our short stay. A 7 minute cab ride to the centre of York. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were spotlessly clean.Just a heads up - the bathroom is downstairs, which we didn't notice on the listing, so our fault not the host's, but just to mention in case anyone is concerned about having to go downstairs in the night for the loo!Would happily stay again.”

“Recommend the bed needs a mattress protector for hygiene and to protect the mattress. The property is renovated to good modern standards for an old cottage. Shops bars restaurants taxi rank all close by. Home is clean. Host is good with communication. Definitely would stay again.”

“The owner was extremely helpful and responsive and the location was perfect. The walled garden was perfect for family to gather on warm days. However, although it’s advertised as sleeping 16, it doesn’t have the living space for 16, either to eat or gather. Other staff at the property were very accommodating and we loved the sustainable aspect of everything in the house. ”

“Last minute booking as decided to stay overnight in York. Communication for check in was quick, property was easy to find, close to town and super clean and tidy. Had a relaxing stay and would definitely consider again next time we were in York. Small supermarket and Mrs Greedy’s at end of road was excellent for supplies and a quick cooked breakfast. ”
