“The hotel was cleaner than I expected. The pillows were not comfortable and there was no parking. The entrance from the street could also do with some upgrading. In all it was not a bad stay. I will come again.”

We had an awesome view of Whyte Ave out our window and got to enjoy some late night music from street buskers. We got to feel like we were a part of the nightlife from the comfort of our room. If you're sensitive to street noise, you might want to request one of the rooms facing away from Whyte, but we loved it!

“Clean and renovated hotel. We were in the river view room and it was one of the most spacious hotel rooms I have been to. The view was breathtaking even in third floor room that we were in. Definitely will come back and strongly recommended.
Two small downsides to be fair, the indoor parking was height limited and the entrance was VERY small, we opted to park outside even though the price was the same. Also the buffet breakfast was good, but could really be better and have more variety...

“Our stay at the Matrix was fantastic. The staff was really friendly, the room was clean and comfortable! The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to many cafes and restaurants. Be sure to check out Culinary Unicorn on the main floor, it was sooo good!!!!”

“Excellent, diverse and very friendly customer service. I really appreciate the free breakfast. The hotel is clean and comfortable, although the pool area is a bit rundown. I think they just need to improve the lighting and it'll look great. The area is centralized with a bunch of restaurants within walking distance so having a stroll in the afternoon was great ”

“The hotel is well situated to shoot into the heart of the city or to head South into the Prairies. The Atrium is unusually spacious and calming. Room was clean and beds very comfortable. Impressive fitness facility, and the pool was nice. Every interaction with staff was pleasant.”

“Beautiful hotel. Large room, everything clean and looking brand new. The restaurants weee excellent. Denny’s was great for breakfast. Chops was one of the best steakhouses I have enjoyed. Both were tied into the hotel, a very short walk from our room. Silent at night. Overall a great hotel.”
