Hotel a Ashton

“The hotel is in need of updating and a good deep clean. The carpeting was dirty – I understand that it is the end of the winter season, but it was still pretty dirty. The rooms were fairly clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding clean. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim and not suitable for putting on make-up. There was a definite odor (smelled like garbage) as you exited the back elevator on the second floor which seemed like they attempted to cover with air freshener. (I...

“The hotel is unkept and not maintained. Room smelled of mildew, remote was sticky and appeared to have been chewed on by a dog. Shower had little water pressure and vanity light flickered. The breakfast was all empty calories, pop tarts and stale mini donuts, with no hot food or proteins. Walls were thin, could hear rooms next door conversation, coughing, and TV.”

“The room was clean but the back of the bathroom door had dirty dog foot prints on it and the bathtub had a dark ring around it. The creamer at the morning breakfast bar was not bad but the shelf stable cream was curdled in the container. The property was under construction and that would have been nice to know ahead of time but we did not hear any noise from that during our stay. The pool and pool area was great, so fun for the kids. “This is such a great place to go to unplug for a few days! There is WiFi, but it is not fast, which is exactly what we were looking for! We stayed three nights and did not leave the grounds. The restuarant is open for breafast, lunch, and supper, and there is a small fridge in each cabin. The staff is attentive, helpful, and friendly; we happened to be there during a winter storm, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable. “1st, was placed next to a bunch of construction groups (noisy), 2nd: TV was broke, 3rd: no glasses to even get a drink of water, 4th: toilet wouldn't flush right, 5th: ABSOLUTLY NOTHING FOR BREAKFAST, no coffee, no rolls, and no staff to be found at 7am, this was a train wreck........................................... ”
