Hotel a Baxter

“Upon arrival I waited a very long time for someone to come to the desk and assist me.. the property inside and out was clean and well maintained. Room was clean and comfy, however water pressure took 30 min to rinse my shoulder length hair and the rips in the shower curtain allowed water to escape the shower and soak the bathroom. Tub was also very slippery. Breakfast bar was stocked and fresh. Overall id stay again.”

“Owners/hosts could not have been more friendly or helpful. Delicious breakfasts each of the 3 days we stayed. Incredible views from back deck and brief walk to Bee Rock Overlook. Our room was furnished with beautiful antiques. Very comfortable bed and bedding. We enjoyed visiting Muddy Pond Mennonite community. Ate a great lunch at The Front Porch General Store and Deli. The Appalachian Center for Craft in nearby Smithville had an interesting gallery and beautiful handmade items in the...

“The eggs were tasty even if they were square. As always, room was clean as a whistle! This hotel never disappoints!”

“The pool was closed when we got there. The hotel is undergoing some enhancements however the floor we stayed on smelled like urine. The floors were so dirty in our room, my kids feet were completely black with dirt after walking around for a few minutes. Staff was friendly enough but I wouldn’t stay again.”

“There's not enough parking but it was very well kept and there's a cash deposit that I never seen anything about and wasn't aware of until I checked in but you get it back at checkout”

“The property is generally nice for a simple short stay. It sometimes gets noisy and have some people smoking cigarettes and weed around the rooms, so that can get someone uncomfortable and to me it’s the major downside.”

“Refrigerator didn’t work and informed front desk who said maintenance was on site she will have someone look at it. More than 24 hrs later called the front desk for an update but they were unable to supply any information. We were offered another room so we had to pack up and unpack again. Was told by staff member Bryson that we would receive a monetary compensation but we did not get anything for our inconvenience.”

“It was good. Clean room, easy check in, a little bit loud (mostly the plumbing) but nothing crazy.”
