“I had a lovely stay! The room was beautiful and cozy. Breakfast was delicious! ”

“The room is immaculate, there are nice touches like ground coffee and a french press, first time I have had this even in £500+ a night rooms. There is plenty of free parking on the street outside. The only thing to be mindful of is that there is a big step both into the room and the bathroom for those with reduced mobility like myself - this is in addition to the 6 steps i was aware of. There is no aircon or fan so we opened the bedroom and bathroom windows and it was fine. Old school air...

“Lovely friendly welcome and chat, room was cosy and bright and clean, bathroom was amazing with a fantastic shower, the staff were all brilliant. Sally on reception and Ben behind the bar. Then Derrick was waiting for us to come back from the pub with an umbrella as it was pouring with rain and a pint and lovely chat he even showed us around the property. Great breakfast and lots of conversation . Altogether lovely place to stay. Thank you all ”

“We wondered what we had let ourselves in for on arrival. How surprised we were as our stay progressed. The breakfasts were supreme, the service with a smile by our host, David, wonderfully assisted by Allison. Nothing was too much trouble. A very pleasurable stay. A nice location for our days out and always a welcome home cuppa on our return. Lovely memories.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spotless and had all the facilities we could possibly ask for including a secure private garden section with decking area, perfect for the dogs. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all consisting of excellent locally sources ingredients expertly cooked. The property was conveniently located a short drive from Chatsworth House, Bakewell and a number of other tourist attractions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again or to recommend to others.”

“We really enjoyed staying at The Old Vicarage,it was such a unique setting and Tricia and Andrew were such great hosts. Our room was beautiful and the breakfasts were great. The location was really great for touring around the peak district.”

“The location was simply perfect, with a lovely proximity to all the eateries and amusements in the area, as well as the walks and scenery. Our room was clean, warm and spacious and we all slept very soundly (better than at home)! The breakfast was perfect, exactly the right amount to kickstart our days with a lovely selection too.
