“A lovely place to stay. Beautiful room , very smart and clean, lovely river views, comfy bed and spotless linen.Only downside to room 19 is the noise during the day and early eve from people eating below on the terrace, but very quiet overnight. Also before 9am in the morning, hammer banging and electric drill noise outside window next to our headboard, suggest workmen check if room occupied before commencing work! But overall would recommend a stay, the staff were all very friendly and...

“L'hotel si trova in un'area di sosta dell'autostrada. La posizione è comoda per chi vuole muoversi nei dintorni senza fermarsi solo a Southampton che dista comunque 10 min di macchina. Le camere sono ampie e confortevoli, i rumori da fuori si sentono poco e c'è un ampio parcheggio a disposizione. Molto comodo anche il mc donald's e lo shop attaccati all'hotel e aperti 24h ( siamo arrivati in hotel alle 3 a.m.). Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo”

Breakfast was nice the only slightly negative thing was glasses and plates were not replenished we had to ask for that to be done despite 2 staff being in the area. Otherwise cannot fault the hotel . staff were welcoming at reception ”

“Hotel,room,grounds & swimming pool area was very well maintained & spotlessly clean....we loved the pathway around the grounds for walking our dog & was so surprised to have so many dog litter bins provided also an outside dog bath/shower amazing .....The staff was lovely everywhere in the hotel ....a great buffet breakfast & during our stay popped in to lounge area where you had a free drinks machine which we had excellent hot chocolate from after our dog walk....hotel is set within a lovely...

Pool was really warm - didn’t mind the charge of £5 per person per day - we were informed of this beforehand so no surprises there. Did not eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food ”

“Excellent stay at the Chequers Inn again for a week for the New Year. Beautiful room, good food, clean, lovely staff - shout out to Angela who went above & beyond for us! Lovely compassionate email sent to us following the very sad death of my Dad whilst we were away. Only downside - the bar closed at 10:30pm on New Years Eve! We will definitely return.”
