“This was an amazing castle! Everything was so beautiful. From the architecture, to the fountain in the courtyard (with lights at night), to the canopy bed, fancy bay window, and chandelier in our bedroom. Incredible! The staff was so friendly and attentive, and the food was good, as well. ”

“All the staff were very friendly and everywhere was clean and tidy. If you were later than 09.00 am for breakfast, the choice was not so good than if you had turned up earlier, that was our feeling. The Saturday evening meal was not totally satisfactory because there was not enough staff and we booked a table at 20.30 but did not eat until 21.45. The server did his best but was over powered with the demands of trying to keep up with the orders. Maybe the kitchen staff were understaffed as...

“Clean room with very helpful staff. Unfortunately I did not have breakfast due to my early starts. The Wi-Fi was free easy to connect to. Great value and very comfortable nights sleep.”

“Well appointed hotel with lovely views across the Nailsworth valley. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable with a huge bed. Didn't use the restaurant for dinner, but breakfast is excellent. We have stayed here three times now and have not been disappointed. ”

“Always use this hotel as a midpoint traveling from Fishguard to Southampton. Off the beaten track, but a hidden gem. Nothing negative about this hotel for what we required. Will be back. ”
