“The hotel was closed upon arrival and no one ever arrived. The windows were broken and there was an odor of cat urine and a dozen feral cats. We left since the hotel was closed and sought other accommodations. I will demand a full refund from Expedia and my credit card company. Filthy!”

“We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Virginia Guesthouse. The hotel had opened up just the month before, and the property was very-well appointed, and immaculate. It felt like a room night should have cost at least a couple times more than I did. Added bonus, our breakfast at their restaurant was amazing.”

“This hotel was very conveniently located. The staff was excellent, and the breakfast they serve, made to order, was well worth the $8.00 pp. on the down side, it could have been a little cleaner. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either.”

“The potential of a 3.5☆ but for maintenance and staffing. The sheets were soiled and the toilet was blocked up. Regular maintenance and proper staffing could prevent these issues. So instead of a 3☆ they get 1.5☆”

“Our stay was perfect. Hotels.com really messed up the booking and I almost didn’t have a place to stay. The host at this property held the room for me and we handled everything directly. He was great, the room was spectacular!”
