“The place was clean and very comfortable, I’m a real mattress snob, I’m very impressed on how well I slept here. Now I have stayed here about 10 times as I’m working out of town here on a project.”

“This place is well-maintained for how old it is, and it was fun to stay in such a historic building. Surface cleaning is spotless, but a deeper clean is not really great (e.g., ceiling fans). Our room did not have a TV so we had to watch in the living room. We had to share a bathroom. Kind of frustrating for a room with kids, but it was on the booking. Just didn’t catch it somehow. The pillows could use a regular update. The breakfast was better than a traditional continental breakfast, but not...

“The property is undergoing significant renovations. They do not disclose this until you get there. This should be disclosed before the guests arrive. Things are kind of a mess. And the whole place smells like a construction zone. Normally, has been a nice place when they have their stuff together. Personally, I believe the place should be closed until the renovations are complete. But if not, let guests know what is going on in advance.”

“There was a storm in the area when we arrived which had caused some issues during check-in. We had booked the room for 5 days, however, I had to move to another room because of the computer glitch. However, the day manager did contact me about the problem since our room had apparently been double booked. He helped me out with the price and also looked in depth for my wife's heated coffee cup that she had left in the lobby. He dug through the trash to find it but to no avail. He was way beyond...

“I never leave negative reviews and overall we loved the hotel. Beware, however, the hotel charged me a balance remaining between them and Expedia stating I needed to seek a refund from Expedia for them underpaying my stay. I paid the same price on Expedia as the advertised hotel rate. I was also charged for parking on property and did not. I’ve left messages since my stay for the GM and have not heard back him.”
