“We were a late checkin and the staff who checked us in were so nice. When we requested extra towels so our kiddos could swim they were brought to our room very quickly. The pool area was so family friendly and inviting. checkout was simple and hassle free. I would definitely stay here again.”

“The Occidental Lodge is a very charming, old-school lodge that is well-maintained and absolutely spotless. My favorite part was that there were no smells at all in the room, which I loved!The lodge is located in a tiny, quiet town that I would describe as a micro-country town. If you are planning a weekday stay, just keep in mind that the only things open are a little market and a breakfast café that closes at 3:00 PM. “The resort was very nice, and the restaurant was very good, selling local oysters. The place is also very quiet. We had almost no interactions with staff and the check-in was through an envelope left for us at the closed office. The pool was closed and there is no hot tub. The place is very remote but great for exploring Point Reyes.”

“advance notice on checkin should be shared earlier. The property has poor wifi- could not connect at all. I had to leave the property to connect. I have two cell phones and neither one connected. Because of limited wifi connection, you should share advance checkin code to avoid these issues upon arriving.”

“Our room was very nice, clean, and roomy. The surrounding area was well kept, and surrounded by lush and beautiful landscaping. There were plenty of places to walk our dogs, and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We anticipate many returns. A great big thank you to all the staff. My only suggestion is to add a microwave to the rooms.”
