“Would stay there again. Friendly owners. Very clean. Typical breakfast. Quite clean.”

“The things that I noticed was, we did not have room service. We had no clean towels and our tub and toilet didn’t look clean. My sheets had small holes in them and the TV remote wasn’t working.”

“Main elevator was down the whole 4 days of our stay. Door lock on room needed to be replaced as card keys didn't work. No housekeeping was done for the 3 days we were there & ran out of towels/ toilet paper. When trying to call front desk after 2 rings a recording says front desk not available call back later. Very frustrating”

“I was locked out of my room for 12 hours because the lock wasn’t working. Tried 4 new keys and no one knew how to change the battery on the lock until the next shift came in. Every time I needed back in my room I had to go find the front desk person and have them unlock my door with the master key. Do you know how hard it is to always find a person at the front desk on a weekday??? They would put a sign out on the counter when no one was there and it said to ring the bell or call a certain phone...

“The check in was super smooth and the agent very friendly. The room was comfy and there was ample parking.”

“Great stay at the Tremont. Cayla the hostess was pleasant and helpful. JP and Jennifer were lively as well with pleasant conversation. I believe all our problems were handled well. I would ask that more electronic outlets would be added but the room was fresh and lovely. Diner was wonderful for coffee and breakfast. Bar and restaurant are just as good.”

“The staff was friendly and quick to answer questions. It was in a safe area with quick access to Ames and Iowa State campus. The room and shared spaces were clean. The room had blackout curtains that did their job well. The air-conditioning was easy to adjust in the room and was not noisy. Our room had a microwave and fridge that were very clean and functional. Outdoors had tidy landscaping. There were generously spaced parking spaces with good lighting at night. An overall cheery and positive...

“The room was filthy. Couch was full of pet hair and black with stains. Bathtub bottom was black.”

“We had access to the whole area, livingroom, kitchen and bedroom bath. It was a lovely establishment and the hosts were very friendly.The breakfast was wonderful. If you book directly with them it is free.”

“WIFI SINGAL IS POOR”

“We stayed at Econo Lodge in room 228 for one night and the room has BED BUGS! Once we realised that , we contacted the hotel but the staff was not helpful at all. We were told that the rooms are clean and that we were supposed to let them know at the time of stay (which was 1 night in our case). I would not recommend staying at this hotel, especially in room 228.”
