“I'm house-hunting in Hudson, so my wife and I have stayed in a few other hotels and B&Bs there. However, one night in Pocketbook and I'll definitely continue booking there. I don't understand the complaints about the noise or rude staff, becauee we experienced the exact opposite. The staff were warm & welcoming, and very friendly. Overnight, it was peaceful and quiet. “The location of the property was excellent! The room we had was clean. Two things that were not good- there is no real kitchen area,(or area to gather outside of our room) it is in a small hallway by the back door and does not have a freezer or ice available. Our air conditioner did not work properly and woke us up throughout the night.”

“We had a comfy stay at the Nautical Nest. Check-in was super easy. The room was clean and spacious. The AC unit helped keep the room cool on a hot day but turned off and on during the night which is a helpful energy saver but not great for sleep. Would stay here again.”

“Staff was very nice and pleasant. Hotel itself and our room was nice and clean. But our junior suite was downstairs, kind of like underground area off the hotel, there were no windows to outdoors. Also, our room was extremely damp. It was not disclosed in the booking.”

“AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. The 10 of 10 reviews on Expedia have to be fake!!!!! This hotel at one time might have deserved a decent rating but those days are not the current situation. The hotel corridors smell of animal feces and there is also a strong smell of mold. Vagrants were congregated on the front (no longer functioning) hotel entrance and around the building. The front desk is not continually staffed which eliminates and possibility of building security and the elevator does not limit...
