“I was impressed with the staff and their enthusiasm. The hotel is a very impressive building although there was some decorating going on in some rooms during my stay. “It is a beautiful luxurious hotel with a superb spa. Rooms were nice and bedding very comfortable. Grey's restaurant food is average and very limited choice and overhyped but breakfast was excellent. The biggest surprise on checking out was that they charged 10% service charge on the whole bill including the room charge that was prepaid on Hotels.com. There was no warning and left a bitter taste. ”

“This was my first visit to Chiseldon House having to find another place to regularly stay after the closure of a different hotel & I have already booked again. That in itself says it all. “Great location on the river, good food and wonderful views. The rooms themselves reminded me of a motel setup. Once inside it was clean and spacious, however we noticed a kitchen setup which upon inspection did not function. The oven and furnace seemed to have been disconnected from power and buttons were removed. Of course, this was no problem as the inn offers amazing food, so why would you cook your own?”

Fabulous staying
"Fantastic accommodation under all aspects. The room was spacious and very clean, as was the bathroom, no noise around, lovely staff and great breakfast. There is no restaurant service, but just cross the road and you'll find a big and nice pub. Also to get to Bath there is a wonderful walk along the canal which takes approximately 40 min walking with relax, and is really recommended"
