“There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. Now it’s all sorted and paid in advance. Of course it’s an older hotel and everything is crooked and settled, but you should come here for that eclectic experience, as we did. I just miss the old mural that was painted in the pub before, replaced by a more modern map. ”

“Excellent two night stay in a local village pub. Quirky and traditional all rolled into one. Staff, food and room was very good. Staff were very pleasant. Food was wholesome and hearty. Lots of walks in the area. Also some very interesting history. Definitely recommend 🌟🌟🌟Thankyou”

“On arrival at the Hawk Inn I was greeted in a very polite and friendly manner. Booking in was extremely simple, I love the express booking in before arrival. My room was lovely, clean, warm and comfortable. Nice touches such as mini fridge for drinking water and some fresh milk instead of little milk jiggers. And delicious homemade shortbread instead of plastic wrapped mini selection. There was also a nespresso machine in case you didn’t fancy the instant type plus tea bags. Bathroom had a great...

“Il signore alla reception invece di accoglierci si prolunga in una interminabile telefonata. Mi chiede di pagare nuovamente una stanza già saldata con una sufficienza inaccettabile. Dopo aver appurato il fatto (ore dopo) non si scusa nemmeno. Stanza superior che di superior non ha proprio niente. Cunicoli per arrivarci e 800 porte frangifuoco. Colazione scadente. Unica nota positiva la Signora responsabile delle colazione che è estremamente gentile. ”

“Ambiente accogliente, le camere si trovano sopra il pub ma non si sentono rumori. La nostra camera era bellissima: spaziosa, luminosa con un bagno grande, dotato di doccia e finestra che sono entrambi una rarità. ”

“The bedroom lights were not bright enough for reading at bedtime. The bathroom was lovely, with a separate bath and shower, and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was lovely, but the staff forgot to provide spoons for the cereals and fruit salad, so we had to wait longer before eating.”
