“Beautiful place with very friendly staff”

“Lovely stay at the Woodlands. The owner and his wife couldn't be nicer people. It's a nice change from the homogenised and impersonal experience you normally find at the typical chain hotels. The setting of the place was so nice aswell. Lovely trees, beautiful countryside and the nice older buildings... it made it feel unique. Breakfast was excellent and the whole vibe of the place was relaxed. I would stay here again! ”

“Lovely hotel with parking. Staff were efficient and friendly. Great location overlooking the river and only a few minutes walk into the centre of Cambridge. Rooms are Spacious and comfortable. “This was another return visit to this wonderful warm and friendly pub/hotel. This time i was accompanied with my daughter/we came up up to celebrate my friend's birthday and celebrate my daughters acceptance to University. As before the rooms we had were clean and comfortable the staff were helpful/friendly and the whole evening was brilliant. “The housekeeping was a joke. For a 5 nights stay they never cleaned the bathroom (just changed the towels and the toilet paper) and never changed the bed. They took the garbage from the room though, daily . You have to get used to live in your own dirt. Breakfast was average with limited choices. Restaurant offered outstanding food of superb quality and taste, but the menu was limited. The gym is way above average and top notch for the level of the hotel.
