The hot mineral pools, the spacious room I had with a kitchenette and a patio allowed me to spread out and enjoy the freedom of being away and being at home. I felt very nurtured by the host and the people I met there also. It is a very healing environment to spend time at.”

“You can stay at other hotels and wait in line for to check in and check out, share the pool and hallway with every yahoo. Or you can stay here and have the place almost to yourself. Not a hotel room really more of a suite. Large windows wonderfully designed room....you feel like a rock star when you stay at Hotel Lautner. Spend the extra and vacation like the rich and famous. Easy to get to from either Palm Springs or Joshua Tree. ”

“My husband and I get out to Desert Hot Springs about once a month. We have tried the other Hotels or "Resorts" in the area. I have seen the bad reviews for this hotel, Sanctuary. I took a chance, as we have driven by, and noticed that they were doing remodeling. I walked into the lobby, and I was suprised. The floors are beautiful dark wood, it us minimal as far as furnishings but what is in place is VERY nice, and Clean. They are not opening the restaurant, nor the tavern, i belive the hotel is...
