“The room was clean & well attained, the staff made you feel welcome and took care of anything you need. We didn't eat there but others there were happy with their meals. We had drinks which were good. Plenty of parking.”

“When walking in it was ok. going To the room was another story. Very musty smell paint on doors were peeling off rust stain in shower coming from grab bar. Water took for ever to get hot then turn to scalding. When you look at the bed it had a huge dip in the middle of the bed. Couldn’t get over the smell. Fire alarms went off at 1am lasting about 15 min on and off. We were then told it was somebody smoking marijuana that made the alarms go off in the building but the next night it didn’t...

“Our stay at the Holiday Inn in Newport News was one of the worst on our US roadtrip. We had to change rooms during our 2 day stay because of non-working door-locks. The entire facility is poorly maintained. Bedlinen are dirty, all family members had bites from bedbugs all over their bodies after our stay there. Rooms are not well cleaned, ACs are dirty and full of dust. Breakfast is average, nothing special. Cannot compare to Holiday Inn Hotels here in Europe, a house like this would have had...

“Close to restaurants & shops. Front end staff were friendly, professional and 110% willing to be of assistance in any way needed. The room while spacious, had a musty odor. The beds both sagged on the side closest to the nightstand. Pillows were lovely.”

“Friendly, polite staff, free parking, grocery store w/i walking distance, breakfast looked good, however we didn’t partake. Price little high. ”

“My room had crushed dead bugs in it and hair on the floor near the bathroom sink. And I didn't have a full size towel in my room. When I took a shower I had to use a hand towel to dry off”

“I’ve stayed multiple times at the brick kiln golf resort and lodge , and played the golf course multiple times as well.The course -hotel and restaurant (the nest) , are top notch. The thing that constantly stands out- is the staff !!! Always a pleasure to interact and connect with. This particular team— pro shop - Garrett and Owen- and the nest - Cayla - and check in personnel were - as usual- just an absolute pleasure. Keeps me and my family coming back when visiting our daughter at CNU”

“Walls in room had patched holes, and large areas had been painted with different, unmatched colors. Many areas were not clean. Iron had red material stuck to it and could not be used.”

“It’s like a mini apartment, there is a lot of space to store your things and a lot of room to move around, the staff is really friendly and helpful when you ask. No one seems to not like their job and it’s always a clean environment and open walkways for you to bring materials to your room if you please.”
