“Stayed with my hubby from 22 to 24 May 2026. Excellent room, very clean and well maintained. Breakfast spread was scrumptious and satisfying. In Room Dining service, very very good. Just 1 hiccup though, when we called for bell hop service, took more than 20 mins to show up. By which time our transporter had arrived. This is second time we encountered such incident. We are regulars at Amari since 2017, hope this issue is addressed so that we could continue to enjoy our future visits.”

“Nice looking resort that is situated very close to a private beach. Enjoyed the lush look of the resort. Breakfast was good with local delights like Roti Canai, Nasi Lemak, Dimsum. Staff were helpful and a treat to deal with. Some downsides: - There is sound leaking into the bedroom from the corridor. We heard people shouting outside our rooms at 12am. I would imagine better sound proofing would have been present in a 5 star hotel but apparently not. - The thermostat aircon in our room did not...

“We had high hopes when we arrived at Shangri-la Golden Sands and the staff were nothing but polite, pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. However, we quickly noticed that our bathrooms weren’t the cleanest - there strands of hair everywhere and a slight smell of sewer. There were plumbing issues - which the hotel fixed upon request. The dinner buffet was very mediocre and somewhat disappointing- only because I associated Shangri-la with better buffet food.”
