It's "along" in the sense that the rooms are lined up, balconies facing the railtrail, and immediately beyond (through a treeline) the Wallkill. It's well sited on a beautiful site. Of course the railtrail is convenient, as is Water Street Market, which also follows the rail trail. It's also just a short walk into town, to the bridge across the Wallkill and a trial that leads to the ridge, and up the railtrail and to the left,...

“The building was run down and in need of repair. The linoleum floor in our bathroom was literally stapled after if had ripped. The TV took forever to change channels, probably due to really slow internet and out microwave was dirty. The staff was friendly I think they just work at a crappy hotel so not their fault. I also think there were people living there. Lastly whatever cleaning product they use was overwhelmingly strong.”

“Very relaxing for what we had planned. The room was clean, the "breakfast nook" was abailable at all hours - Self driven. Hot Tub available and large enough to accomodate comfortable over 6 people. We were able to travel to downtown New Paltz very easily and we visited other nearby towns: Kingston, Rhinebeck and Hyde Park. “Our stay at Elmrock was exactly what we needed to get out of town and have many of the beautiful sites of Ulster County available nearby. The House we rented from them was beautifully kept. The Breakfasts were great ant the conversation with others made for nice mornings. ON a VERY hot July 4th Weekend the home was cool and comfortable! Would recommend the Inn highly.”

“The cabin is awesome. Surrounded by forrest you feel like youre the only person in the world. What's even cooler is its off grid but you dont miss a thing. Lights. Music. Bathroom. There were even a couple board games. Outside fire ready to go. Exactly what I was looking for.”

Hosts were very good at providing instructions and information when requested. Air conditioning units in each room was great since we happened to have a very hot day and evening during our stay.”
