“We stayed for one night, also having dinner and breakfast. The room was lovely and clean, the dinner and breakfast were both freshly cooked and delicious. It was great to see the bar /restaurant buzzing with locals and others staying there. Staff were really helpful. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay and located well for exploring. ”

“Although our stay was fleeting (just one night) we were made to feel extremely welcome by all of the staff. The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. Instead there was a DAB radio which was playing a soothing Classic FM when we entered our rather classy country pub hotel. Everything was to a very high standard in our room. “Villa di campagna inglese molto bella con giardino. La nostra camera era di quelle piccole ma spaziosa a sufficienza con letti singoli comodi. Bagno pulito e dotato dei comfort necessari anche se non molto spazioso. Colazione eccellente, ricca di prodotti freschi cucinati sul momento. Parcheggio in loco di fronte alla struttura. Malgrado la posizione isolata, si puo' raggiungere Exeter in 15 minuti su strade comode da percorrere.”

“Unfortunately the hotel had some problems in the kitchen which impacted very badly on the menu for dinner, the breakfast, service (so slow) and noise. It would have been better to fix the problems before reopening or to have had the courtesy to let us know in advance what the situation was. I would have stayed somewhere else. Extremely disappointing as I’ve had lovely stays here in the past. ”

“The room was great, the staff very friendly but what was outstanding was the food, what a surprise it was, pub food is normally quite boring in my opinion but this was anything but. Pork belly mash and the most delicious red cabbage I've ever had and I've travelled a lot and eaten a lot in my travels, this was up there with the best. ”

“Absolutely fabulous few days away. This is a real gem of a hotel. Quiet and secluded but a real joy to experience. The staff are so helpful and genuine (Rosie, Sharon and Oliver deserve medals) There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The evening dinner menu and quality of food was 10/10. I think it could be even better with a slightly extended menu. We will be back x”

“la struttura si presenta bene e la camera assegnataci era molto ben arredata e spaziosa. da tenere presente che proprio di fronte l'hotel si trova una chiesa che ogni ora ( anche di notte) scandisce il tempo con rintocchi di campana. al pian terreno si trova un pub ristorante che definirei nella media.”
