“The Hotel is set in lovely surroundings. Swimming pool is excellent. the room was small and a long way to walk to get to it. We had a large room facing the front gardens last time and prefer that even though it is a bit dated. The fried eggs they brought out for breakfast fresh from the kitchen were cold not certain how that happened.It was as if they came from the fridge.”

“Room was in the roof far too noisy not very clean around carpet rug edges especially at side & back of bed under table years of dust sadly .Noisy Hotel inside as well lots of people sharing rooms as people where knocking on doors to be let into rooms throughout the three nights we stayed hastent to add we got NO sleep what so ever & made us feel unwell pleased to come home . Staff were OK but not over helpful when Alarms for smoke detectors kept also going off on rooms near us also alarms going...

“The Carlton is in the process of being renovated. The alternative accommodation across the road was an excellent replacement. Very well presented, clean funky and functional more than adequate for a brief visit. Right in the heart of Jesmond,”
