“Lovely deluxe room with balcony and views over the grounds and river Tees, at a very reasonable price. The bar seemed short-staffed, leading to having to wait a while for service sometimes (not a reflection on the staff themselves, who were helpful and efficient).”

“The staff were very friendly and the hotel is nice and central. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The only slight criticism was that there must have been a slight gap in the window as there was a slight whistling noise from the window.”

The staff were excellent, welcoming and explained all we needed to know at check-in, which included completing a breakfast form and time for breakfast. This wasn't needed immediately, but sometime before the end of the evening.
