“I grew up in Teesside in the 80's and live in the US - I fully recommend this hotel. The room was above the Three Tuns pub across the street - I guess they run both properties. My room had new bathroom fixtures and a great walk-in shower. My deal also included a full English breakfast downstairs which I'd recommend if you want to go hiking around Sheep Wash/Cod Beck for most of the day. Brilliant spot to hang out - I will look forward to coming back on future visits to the Northeast anytime...

Unfortunately, the pub was shut as it was a Monday, but I just crossed the road and went there for food and drinks so no problem. The room was beautiful, bright, very clean and very spacious. It looked newly decorated and done very tastefully, felt like I was staying in a stately home, not the local boozer! I mentioned to some locals I was working with that I was staying here...

"Very basic hotel, requiring refurbishment. The main problem: they offer brekfast using a Gym structure 50-100m away out of the parking. This structure is not suitable for food and the breakfast is very poor and NOT cheap. Apart from this, there is no agreement with the hotel and you have to sign a book each time you enter. Sure I'll NOT came back."
