“The rooms were fine for what we needed, we had small dogs with us and were able to check in quickly.”

You got a pass to hang from your mirror, then find a place to park in the neighborhood. I thought this was iffy, but I had no problems. It’s an older hotel building. The room had a physical key rather than a magnetic lock, which I thought was quaint.”

“This place is all about location. The experience in a 2-room suite was like staying at the home of an elderly relative who hasn’t updated their furnishings since the 70s. The rooms were spacious but a bit musty and quite worn. But it’s half a block to the main street so overall it’s a good choice if you don’t mind the thin walls and shag carpeting.”

“Where to begin. The deadbolt is only hanging on one hinge. Shower has pink mold in grout. The drain doesn't plug the bath. The jets are disgusting even if i could draw a bath. The controller on the wall for the tub jets is missing it's nob and the face plate is not attached to the wall. The ceiling light flickers. There is rust all over the bedside lamp. “Very beautiful hotel, in a historic house of ferndale.room was clean, the bed was a bit small and too soft. Breakfast is served in the main room and there is some choice of hot and cold food. ”

“The hotel was ok. It was cool learning about the history of the hotel as it was once a very big deal. Multiple presidents have stayed here along with other celebrities from prior decades. The bathrooms are very small and there is not much counter space. My wife didn't like the bathroom mirror. They do offer a small breakfast of pastries, cereal and coffee/tea in the morning. “Was able to check in early and the room very clean”

“The floor was so dirty the bottom of my shoes are cleaner. Better than last stay but now they’ve added a new barrier which is the virtual assistant. The janitor had to come out and help me because the submit button didn’t work. I get it that there’s a push toward ai and automation but if you lose the humanity, why would I ever travel.”

“The room was ok but the table and furniture were sticky. The bed was clean and confortable. The location was convenient and fairly quiet. However, we experienced a power outage during our stay, and the front desk staff was not particularly welcoming or friendly.”
