“Staff was helpful. Room was in great need of work. Obviously neglected for far too long. The overall appearance of the entire place was that of a run down business that has not kept up with standards and expectations of what we believe most people like. I would never recommend it to anybody. ”

“The desk clerk was pleasant and friendly. Our king room was very clean, with plenty of seating, a large table, mini fridge and microwave. The area around the hotel is very clean with picnic tables and a nice swing for enjoying the outdoors. We also thought the location was perfect, close to restaurants and sight seeing adventures. Keep in mind it is an older hotel so the rooms interior and design is a bit dated. But, the mattress was great, the shower was good and that’s all we were after. ”

“I have been staying at Whispering Woods once a month on average for work over the last five years. I love these little cabins overlooking Norfork Lake. They are very cozy and comfortable. The onsite restaurant is a big plus and the staff are so kind and accommodating.”

“Cabin was clean, beds comfortable and linens were clean. The cabin does not include coffee or water - bare bones. I would have like more flat surfaces in the bedrooms to place personal belongings. Adequate charging outlets. Phone service is sketchy but good wifi allowing internet calling. Not within walking distance of eating areas but there is a convenience (mostly fishing) store next door open during reg business hours with great coffee. “Checked in Friday night. No sheet or blanket on the bed. Next morning got them delivered but no housekeeping Saturday. Had to get key card reprogrammed Saturday and Sunday when it quit working. It was in my pocket all by itself, not near phone or credit cards. No housekeeping Sunday either. Had to get fresh towels myself. Found power cord for clock and lamp spliced together with electrical tape and wires exposed. I expected old and worn for the price but this was unacceptable.”

“We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely rent this cabin again. I realize it’s the true cabin experience so I do expect it to not be like staying in a luxury hotel. The cabin was very neat and we loved the atmosphere, however when we arrived it seemed as if no one had been in it in a while.
