“The property was perfect for my sister and I. A lovely light,cosy room with everyting needed. There was even a little fridge in the room with fresh milk and bottled water, also a proper jar of coffee, sachets of yorkshire tea and selection of biscuits. We also had a lovely vase of pink carnations in the room. The garden was so pretty with a little pond and waterfall. I love nature so it was perfect. “Overall a very pleasant stay, it was a very hot day so the room was hot but it did have portable fan. Welcome and service by the staff was excellent. The main entrance door has a strong spring on it so very noisy when people allowed it to slam shut. Will stay again and try a cottage. ”

“We stayed here for a couple of nights for a long weekend exploring the Yorkshire Wolds. The location is great, being close to a few larger towns like Driffield and Pocklington, but also close to some amazing walking including a stretch of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The room was really lovely, the staff friendly, and the food and beer fantastic. We will definitely stay again when we're next out this way! ”

“I booked the stay as part of a surprise for my husband's birthday, and he was very impressed and absolutely raved about it. He could not fault a single thing about our stay. Starting with the location, it was not far to walk to York centre (around 20 minutes or so). We stayed in the Samurai suite. The theming of the room was fantastic, right down to the sunken bath. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and it was evident that the owners had not scrimped on quality of the furnishings or bedding....

“Bellissima casa in stile vittoriano, sicuramente non per gli amanti della modernità ma per chi adora calarsi nelle atmosfere vintage. La colazione, tipicamente inglese, nel suo genere è ottima. Il centro città può essere raggiunto facilmente a piedi, ma non manca la fermata del bus nelle vicinanze . Mi mancava solo Miss Marple!”

“Siamo rimasti a York per tre sere, provenienti da Londra e diretti ad Edimburgo. La città medievale è splendida, la guest house eccellente. La camera spaziosa per tre persone e arredata splendidamente. Il bagno in camera. Pulizia ottima. La guest house rimane a circa 15 minuti dal centro, raggiungibile a piedi o anche con servizio di autobus. Consigliamo a tutti coloro, famiglie e non, che decidono di fermarsi a York.
