“While the Riverview claims to be pet friendly, you cannot leave your pet in your room even in its kennel when you aren't there. This place is 1970's old but decent. It was fairly clean if you don't mind drain flies flying out of the sink drain every time you run water. The staff attempted to help by spraying LYSOL in the sink, they tried to tell us it was gnats coming in from the balcony when the balcony door hadn't been opened, at all. “I travel to Townsend a couple of times a year to visit GSMNP and have stayed at numerous hotels in that area. This was my first time at The Parkman. Property was clean and staff were efficient. My only complaint was that my room did not have a mini-fridge and microwave. The property is undergoing some renovations and I hope they add mini-fridges and microwaves to all their rooms. The restaurant next door is also under renovation so there is no breakfast offering at the current time.”

“Room was very clean. Everything appeared recently updated within the last 5 years or so and couldn't beat coffee on the patio overlooking the small river. Great location too, 10 min from everywhere we wanted to go.”

“WOW! This is an incredible place to stay. Not only a beautiful location, but the level of hospitality here is top-tier. They greet you upon arrival and show you to your room. Offer to help with EVERYTHING! It is truly an experience unlike any other resort/hotel I have stayed at. You truly feel cared about and valued.
