“The outside looks great but once I opened the door to our room we were greeted with the strong horrible smell of cat urine!!!! Had to use half the bottle of dawn air freshener to get the room to a tolerable smell. The tv in the bedroom only had 4 working channels and the tv in the living room had no working remote! Pool was great and will stay for breakfast maybe I’ll add another review if it’s great if not won’t be another review.”

“The bed didn't have a comforter, only a thin blanket and a sheet. The bedsheet itself had a stain on it. The mattress feels like its caving in on itself, so you sink into the middle of it. The bathroom ceiling fan was the loudest and most useless thing in the room. Nothing wrong with a 1980 non-modernized hotel room, but it makes it feel old, crusty, and musty in the room. The only light switch in the room was for a single, flickering, dim bulb. You had to rely on the 5 lamps in the room to...

“No pool. But staff were very friendly and helpful.”

“We found the location excellent, as we were expected to arrive at the Twilight Riverboat two-day excursion the next day at 7:30 am. After the boat tour, we stayed another night, seeing it was after 6 pm and a little late to head back to Wisconsin.”

“Staff was friendly and welcoming. Basically pretty clean, except for refrigerator ~ something had been spilled by previous occupants and had not been cleaned by housekeeping. Breakfast was good - decaf coffee was barely warm - some items had been cleaned out by the early leaving guests and not replenished.”

“The front desk staff answered all my questions and were helpful. The room I stayed in was quiet and clean. It had a no frills vibe. I did like the hand soap they provided. My hands felt soft and clean after using it. Outside the hotel in front it looked like work was being done on other businesses. The outside had a sketchy vibe, but I didn’t experience any issues.”

“Nice little Hotel. I normally stay IHG, but the Holiday Inn in Clinton does not allow pets. Booked here, not knowing what I was gonna find, but I was pleasantly surprised!!! I was able to get a room that had a whole separate bedroom from the living area, which is a must when you have a dog, that will bark at the wind. Keeps them away from the front entry and all the noises. TVs could use an upgrade, but the internet was good...if you are a gamer. Would stay here again with no hesitation!!! Oh...

“Clean, convenient location, had everything needed for a weekend stay. Recommended.”

“Clean room and very big. The blackout curtains did not blackout very well. The beer was 9 $ and we are in Iowa not Chicago. The worst part of my two day stay was the baseball families came on Saturday and took over the hotel. The kids were running around the hotel and playing on the terrace. I had nowhere to go to quietly have a beer. You just go back to your room. Travelers beware of baseball families coming to your hotel. It was like a bad movie and the staff did nothing.”

“Drive by this motel, don’t even look at it. Even though the room is “cleanish” I don’t think floor in our room was wet mopped. The bottom of my feet were dirty after walking around in the room for a couple of hours. The place is old, the walls are thin so noisy neighbors are irritating. The complementary breakfast was,meh.”

“No toilet paper or towels.... super old property with the oldest comforter and pillows ive ever seen. I just wanted to get outs there.”

“Booked 3 rooms for me and my family for a graduation weekend. I’m going to admit, I was skeptical at first but the place was very clean, staff was friendly and I would stay again. The area around there is sketchy, so not my first choice but for the price it was very affordable, clean and an overall nice stay.”
