Hotel in zona Sea Pines, Hilton Head

“We were up all night because the room smelled of paint. The building was undergoing renovations. To combat the smell, we kept all the windows open. Unfortunately, we couldn’t reach customer service because it’s automated, and you never speak to a real person. It was the worst experience. I’ve switched to the Heritage hotel, but I can’t say it’s any better. In fact, it’s probably worse. There’s construction scaffolding, and it’s incredibly loud. I’m disappointed with Marriott.”

“Oceanfront first floor room could see only the horizon of the ocean. I do not feel this should be priced as an ocean front, though of course there is no resort view from 1003 and that is good. First floor rooms should be priced lower due to not having a full view of the ocean due to dunes. The staff were friendly and the dining and bars were tasty. “We would have liked an ocean view but they did not have ocean views from any of their queen rooms. The bathroom had an exhaust vent but there was not a switch to turn it on. The lighting was not good for reading at night. It would have been nice to have a sconce light over the beds. However, despite all of that, we had a great time. “No one cleaned room. There was a dripping sound coming from the bathroom ceiling a good part of stay. Needed to close bathroom door not to hear it. Reported it to staff. No safe in room. 5 hangers in closet. Had to request more. Shower floor slippery. Breakfast was very nice. ”
