“The one bedroom unit we had is fairly spacious for two with a balcony. The decor is rustic with good taste and quality furnishings. It truly is ski-in-ski-out with Red Dog lift right next to the property. Even though Red Dog — and the entire KT peak — was closed and the lower mountain runs were unskiable due to the unseasonable heat wave while we were there in mid March 2026, the base to base gondola and funitel tram are within walking distance. “We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit on the second floor. While the location is great, our experience was significantly impacted by persistent noise from the unit above. Throughout the day and continuing until around 10pm each night for everyday, there was constant loud running and jumping from children upstairs, creating repeated thumping sounds that were hard to ignore. “This place is overpriced, dirty feeling, dark, and staff assistance non existent. No wifi except piggy backing off the casino. The casino is a small and dingy as well. I do not recommend. 40 min from Reno with the fastest way driving back to 80 in Cali - Truckee.”

“We stayed at the PlumpJack Inn in Olympic Valley for a ski trip and booked the one-bedroom suite. Just a heads up — it’s essentially two connecting hotel rooms. One side had a king bed, and the other had a pull-out couch with a table and chairs. Both rooms had their own bathrooms, which was actually a huge win.
