“Upon check-in, it was clear the room had been sitting vacant with no AC running, and the thermostat read 82 degrees at 8:30p. After an eight-hour drive, arriving to an unbearably hot room was incredibly disappointing. This is not how paying guests should be welcomed or treated.
We asked for a refund so we could find another hotel, but management refused, stating that because the air conditioner was technically functional, there was nothing they could do. A functioning AC does little good when...

“The hotel’s location is excellent—just steps from the lake, within walking distance of many restaurants, a short drive to Nevada for even more dining options, and only about 20 minutes from the famous California state parks of Emerald Bay and D.L. Bliss.
The Deluxe Queen room we stayed in was clean and well maintained, and surprisingly spacious. It had a huge bathroom as well as a separate living area with a microwave and mini fridge. Fluffy towels.
