It was also nice to say someplace right next to the train station (especially since we brought my senior parents) and have the option of leaving luggage and exploring the city before check in / not taking your luggage all over town. Our room was comfortable, clean and stylish. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location and an easy walk into the main area of York.

Room was so spacious and kept to a high standard
ate in restaurant both nights of our stay , viewing other places to eat we found the hotel restaurant much better both decor service and food,many thanks to all the staff , so central.
If i had to pick a fault i would have to make it up (which i won’t)
The parking was first rate , we got parked no bother however beware it’s first come first
servered.

“From checking in the staff were friendly and very polite. The breakfast was excellent, cooked fresh and to perfection with plenty of toast and coffee on tap. There was plenry of choice as well as a continental option. The room was excellent and the honesty bar is a great touch and not expensive for a late night treat or glass of wine. ”

“We love this chain but it’s the first time we’ve stayed at the Hotel Indigo in York. Exactly the standard of service we expect and the surroundings are lovely. Gorgeous breakfast too - help yourself to tighter, juices and pastries and then waiter service for the hot breakfast.
It turns out that as IHG members we were also entitled to a late check out at no extra cost!
Great trip and we will definitely check out Hitel Indigo in more cities.”

“Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and well appointed. Thankful we got moved to 1st floor as no lift and I have some mobility issues. A fan in room would have been a great addition as it was quite warm. And Leaving windows open brought in traffic noise from road out front. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again.”

“Although you do have to spend £10 for car parking, you do get breakfast, a swimming pool and steam room, thrown in. Creaky floors, but room very comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful.
Would stay here again, which is always the best recommendation. ”
