“We stayed one night in Port Alberni as part of our road trip from Victoria to Tofino, and it turned out to be a fantastic stopover. The accommodations were impressively spacious and ideal for our group of four adults and one dog.
Our unit had everything we needed and more: two bedrooms, nice bathroom, a full kitchen, dining table, sofa, TV, and even a recliner. There was plenty of space to relax after a long drive.

“Booked in a clinch and was only available option at time, but was a great experience and plan to go back again.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The kids loved the onsite pool and waterslide, as well as mini golf! They provided propane for a firepit out the back patio and had a BBQ too! Pleasantly surprised. ”

“Our 2nd time here. Kids had a blast with the waterpark, minigolf was fun. We have stayed in both the studio and the 2 bedroom suites and glad both have private patios for when the kids go to sleep. Definately will be coming back ”

“We had a great stay here! The rooms were very clean and nicely renovated, with super comfy beds. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Pricing was a bit on the higher side, but comparable to a lot of other accommodations in the area.

“Fast check in last min booking they helped so essy and helped when there is forest fire they checked us in later then usal so was so helpful for my family only thing is the tub doesnt fill and wayer jsnt as hot ”

“Riding Fool Hostel never disappoints. Staff have always been friendly and helpful. Rooms and washrooms are clean and well stocked.
The only issue we had, given the warm seasonal temperatures, was that the rooms were uncomfortably hot at night. Fans were available however, they were not quite enough to keep the air flowing.
Maybe an unreasonable suggestion but a vent at bottom of door and top of door frame would likely assist in drawing in the air-conditioned air from the common areas....

Rooms were newly renovated, with a comfortable king bed, 2 burner cooktop, pots/pans, coffee maker, bar fridge. Was great for a 4 day get away.
Lots of restaurants in walking distance. The boardwalk that is there is a great easy walk.
We will definitely be back. Can’t wait to see it totally renovated. ”

“Nice place, very family friendly. Beachfront with easy access. We enjoyed the pool, and hot-tub. Next time I would book a ground floor condo, to have sliding door access to the grass field. Great for the kiddos. Reasonably priced. I’d go back. ”
