Motel a North Suburbs

“Needed a last minute place to stay, and this was clean and quiet, with attentive staff, though poorly maintained (eg old furniture stored in the hallway, bathroom exhaust did not work). The room had a huge hot tub in the corner with a wall mirror. Fantastic location, easy drive to downtown Zion and Illinois Beach State Park.”

“Our room was all one open room, not like the picture that shows a kitchenette. Everything was clean and updated, but the area was bad and a sketchy people hanging around. There was a person above us stomping and slamming things around, so I didn't sleep at all. Turned out that the manager called police and paramedics because they were concerned about their mental health. They did not offer us a discount for the inconvenience and lack of sleep either. Not worth $277/ night, but at least it was...

“We were never able to check in. We arrived at the motel at 6:30pm. No one was available to check us in. There was a sign posted outside the office saying that check in was only from 3 to 4pm. We lost the money we had paid for the room, and had to find another hotel to stay in. A drug addict who was staying in one of the rooms was wandering around in the parking lot. He scared my wife.”

“I came into the place with two beds and one had pee in it and the staff not only did not give us a refund but was ready to leave us with no place to stay, and so we had to settle with the one bed then accused us of doing it and not taking accountability for the situation.”

“Rooms are small with no closets, but with coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave. Hotel was renovated last year and rooms and common areas were extremely clean. Staff was very friendly. Full hot continental breakfast included coffee, apple and orange juice, oatmeal packets, cereal, donuts, eggs, sausage, pancakes, milk, fresh fruit, bagels, toast and more. Wifi was free and signal strong on first floor where we stayed. Parking is free and plentiful.”
