“This hotel is very, very nice. Clean, comfortable, modern and just a short 10 minute walk to downtown shopping and restaurants. Additionally, the staff (in particular Medina, Sydney and Jake) were very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Absolutely wonderful experience. Looking forward to a return in the very near future. ”

There weren't enough towels, we had to keep asking for more towels, housekeeping cleans every other day. The building is old and could use decor updates. “Bathroom was dirty with hairs all Over the shower/bath. Surfaces were dusty in room and floor was sticky at entrance. Huge gap in window drapes so very bright in am which was awful since barely slept with the old and very loud and ever winding air conditioning unit. Have pics and video. Pool was filthy and the area itself was dilapidated and slapped together. Groundspeople walked around watering plants with rap blaring. I was flabbergasted at how lousy this experience was from the snotty front...

“I could not have asked for a better place to stay on my travels through and around New Bern. I parked my car and never needed it again until the day I left. Everything was walking distance. I loved Linda’s breakfasts but also her attention to the little extras, including cookies, beverages, etc. It’s a beautiful spot and a great place to stay in New Bern. ”

“My stay at this location was extremely disappointing and, at times, felt disrespectful. I only get to see my children twice a year, so this trip was very important to me. Unfortunately, even my kids noticed the lack of cleanliness, asking, “Do they not clean rooms here?”—which was frustrating, especially after I had requested room service multiple times without results.
