“This is the ultimate needle in a haystack. The location is amazing, easy stroll to restaurants and entertainment venues. Beautiful shoreline walk into stunning lakeside park. My wife and I went there specifically to ride the Celina-Coldwater Bikeway trail which is fabulous (not long enough) plus easy riding around town. “Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and parking easy. Our room was right next to a loud family. Walls were very thin we could hear everything.”

“Well made and thought out property. It’s a preservation pioneer village with demonstration crafters doing quilting by hand, glass blowing, basket making, broom making, barrel making, and pottery making. They sell the products in the shop.”

“I travel to Findlay twice a month and always stay at the Hancock Hotel. The price is fair, the rooms are clean, and the staff is excellent! While parking is limited (you have to valet your vehicle), the proximity to restaurants and entertainment is worth it.”

“There was nothing unique about the property. The property could definitely use an upgrade. New furniture in the rooms. Outside first floor rooms needs some help. Looks like a "no tell motel". Needs to look more inviting all around. Chairs were sagging. Carpeting in the rooms smelled musty and dirty. Fruit didn't look very fresh at the breakfast. Not enough variety in the breakfast options. The saving grace is that they are right across from the lake.”

“Beautiful establishment. The manager or owner when we arrived was very sweet, informative, and inviting. It had very nice rooms, cool, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Pool area was clean and nice. Restaurant and seating were beautiful - we enjoyed sitting across the street on the water. Our only complaints were they were out of a couple appetizers and drinks during our dinner. Since we stayed during the week the outdoor bar was not open - which was communicated ahead of time,...

“Beautiful place along Lake Erie. Love that it's in the water. Fun bar next door. Lots of places to walk or benches/swings to sit and enjoy the views. The sunset in the swimming cove was lovely. Nickel Beach down the road was nice ($7 parking) and cleaner than the beach by the hotel. Plenty of places to eat in Sandusky which is 11 minutes away. Typical breakfast, clean room and extremely comfy beds. Worth the stop!”

“Most things about the place were pretty good. Staff was helpful and friendly. A couple of the outlets in the room on the nightstand didn’t work, and it seemed like a couple switches for the different lamps didn’t work either. The pillows in the room were completely flat. Overall it was a decent place to lay your head though.”

“Parking was great. Check in was easy. We stayed one night and it was overall a fine stop. A little worn down and i missed having a coffee maker in the room.”
