“The room was lovely, attention to detail was excellent they thought of everything for the room or should I say suite! There was a hot tub outside that we used. Breakfast was served in our room….lots of choice for breakfast and the food was delicious. We had booked 3 nights but only stayed one night unfortunately. We were going to a wedding and I had booked the wrong hotel! The staff were very accommodating trying to arrange for us to go to the wedding hotel which they did! So it was an...

“The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The owner made us very welcome which made the stay even more enjoyable. We also found out that Old Daltongate House is the oldest house in Ulverston. If we get a chance, we will certainly go back again.”

“I put in the postcode but car sat nav directed me as far as the local pub only! After turning down a wrong lane past the pub in the pitch dark (9pm on an October evening) ascending up at a dead end I rang the owner who instructed me to carry on past the pub for another 2 miles! I eventually arrived at a building signposted as the ‘equestrian centre’ so I drove a bit further and ended up driving around some lane in a woods (surrounded by curious deer and badgers!).
