“The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...

“Wonderful staff, perfect large bedroom, excellent breakfast and evening meal. Faultless. Credit to the owners.”

“Solo traveler, had a lovely stay! Location great, close to the station and bus stop. Amazing breakfast included and great room. Would definitely stay here again if I was in Windermere”

“Very nice place and kind people!”

“At the fringes of the town, so it’s quieter. There is no lifts at Lakehouse so please ensure you get the ground floor if you have difficulty climbing stairs, especially with big luggage.”

“A well located inn for visiting central Bowness-on-Windermere. Plenty of parking options around.”

“Il soggiorno è stato molto piacevole. Il personale è cordiale e la posizione è comoda, considerando che c’è anche il parcheggio a disposizione degli ospiti. Ottima la colazione. La struttura é un po’ datata ma la camera era pulita.”
