Hotel a Pleasant Valley

“For the price and being a motel it’s fine.”

“Hotel is basic but clean. Staff was nice and polite. Breakfast offering was sparse. Lack of electric outlet in room. Check in is at 4pm. We were 40 minutes early and were charged $20 early check in fee.”

“It was weird when we got there. We couldn't find the entrance at first since it wasn't obvious. When we did find it, there was just a key left on the table with my name saying that everything was self-service. Not one employee in sight. It's an old property under renovation so it felt pretty creepy. Everything creaks and the walls are thin. The room was okay with a nice view of the Hudson. I did appreciate the snacks and water that was left in the lobby since the restaurant across the street is...

“To be honest I was surprised that upon entry I went downstairs to the room, but as the property is on a hill it is not a basement room. It’s Kingston and it’s a historic property - the landlords have done a lovely job, the room was well appointed, and the team were wonderfully helpful and responsive, and helped me with my bags. Parking on site was helpful. And I even did a load of laundry while there.”

“I knew it was an older property, and we chose it solely for its location to our family members. Our room was not in great shape- stains on walls, cracks on ceilings, fixtures (outlets, toilet paper holder, etc) not fully secured to walls. Towels had holes in them. WiFi wasn’t the best. I did not complain to staff and I would stay here again only because it is a great location. I just thought of it as a camping trip. “We had a wonderful stay. The room and home was very clean and well maintained. The bathroom was a highlight, with a spacious Jacuzzi bathtub that was perfect for relaxing after a long day. Everything was comfortable, and we enjoyed our visit. We would definitely stay here again.”

“Very little to like. The electrical power went off, the hotel was not able to fix the power outrage because they did not have a back up generator. Expedia customer service was poor at best and kept me on the phone close to two hours to solve the problem.”

“One of the worst experiences with hotel services. Our room was falling apart. The toilet was almost broken and uneven. The smell was really bad and “the breakfast” was a paper bag with an apple, “juice”, peanut butter jelly sandwich and a frozen egg sandwich croissant “. We felt like kids going to school.”
