“We loved the cleanliness of the property. The inside is beautiful, and loved how it was decorated! The only drawback is that it’s very loud from traffic and outside noise even though it’s in a quiet area. You can hear everything outside all night. It seems like something isn’t insulated with windows or walls. We had to use the earplugs they provide in hotel to drown out some of the sound, and even then you can hear every car. We were bummed about that, and we wish the hot tub was heated for...

“AC is on a motion sensor, which is a really bad idea in Texas. Our room was often so hot, humid, and weird smelling when we were away from it, the carpet practically felt spongy at times because of the humidity. It would also cycle off sometimes at night which made sleeping really uncomfortable. The front desk was incredibly unhelpful about stuff like this and didn’t seem to care. Also our tv remote didn’t work, no info about WiFi or tv channels, and the mattress pad was made for a smaller size...

I booked this hotel through Expedia for my mother and aunt, who were traveling to Austin to attend a family funeral. The photos online made the property appear attractive and welcoming, but the reality of the surrounding area was very different.
