Hotel a Salem

“The hotel is a former days in under renovation. A few shady characters and broken down cars were on the property and most of it appears to be remodel related. The coffee was good and the young man behind the counter was exceptional. Our first room had the ceiling falling down in the sink so we moved. Room two was much better and was clean. The breakfast is cereal with a few honey buns and coffee.”

“First of all Hamilton, Ga., is a charming small town central to some of the nicest attractions in Georgia, i.e., Providence Canyon State Park (a MUST see), Warm Springs and the Little White House, Callaway Gardens, etc. From Don's greeting at the door upon arrival to looking forward to seeing Judy and Rosemary at breakfast our week long stay at Holly House was outstanding. “This place is what it is. It is a place to do your three S's. Nothing fancy. It was clean with hard surfaced floors and the shower had good water pressure. If you are with someone who is impressed by the room, question your life choices. I will say for what it is or isnt, they kept the grounds clean. One thing to note, we were on the end of the building and they have a smoking area at that spot. We had lurkers ripping heaters outside our room. No pool. Wear shoes in the room, there were...

“The a/c unit sweated and left water on the floor, but it wasn't a problem. Had room for me to walk the dog. Spoke with one lady who cleaned the rooms and she was very sweet. I took my broom and mop to keep our room clean and I even had my own towels and didn't use the ones provided.”

“Hotel staff was really friendly! The owner was really friendly and personable. His son was courteous as well. I asked for extra towels and they were accommodating! The room had some new elements. It wasn’t necessarily national chain quality but truly it was nice. It’s a budget price motel but it’s not run down or sketchy. The towels were nice and there were plenty of nice pillows which helps! You could tell that the owner takes pride in his property. We appreciate a budget motel that’s clean...

“For a $70 fee it would have been king of acceptable, but not for the fee of $363 that they charged me. If you are going to rise 500% the price, for room on the night of an event, at least give the place a deep clean and clean the floors on the doing; the sticky remote control didn’t change channels either, which was the less thing I really cared, the smell of humidity was king.
