Questa classica ed elegante residenza sul pendio del 1945 con 4 camere matrimoniali e 4 bagni è stata interamente rinnovata e riprogettata nel 2014 per Architectural Digest AD 100 dall'architetto John Ike per la sua casa personale a San Diego.

Fortunatamente nella residenza c'è un telescopio in modo da poter godere delle spettacolari viste panoramiche che si estendono da Cabrillo Point e l'Oceano Pacifico, fino alla Pacific Coast Range, alta 10.000 piedi, ad est del centro di San Diego.

La sfilata infinita di navi e barche a vela nella baia di San Diego in basso sarebbe sufficiente per tenerti occupato durante l'intero soggiorno!

È anche una di quelle case in cui devi davvero essere dentro per apprezzare l'eccellente design e l'affascinante artigianato dettagliato che è stato creato per il tuo comfort e piacere visivo.

Ognuna delle camere da letto matrimoniali (due su ogni livello) ha una vista spettacolare e sono decorate con mobili vintage della metà del secolo e letti su misura, ognuna con la propria vasca e tutte tranne una che offrono accesso all'esterno. Abbiamo due letti king size, 2 gemelli, 1 matrimoniale e due divani letto singoli.

La cucina su misura interamente rivestita in Hemlock con pavimenti e soffitti in sughero, presenta una gamma e un forno vintage Chambers, un frigorifero Subzero, un forno a convezione e si apre su una terrazza da pranzo all'aperto con Weber a carbone integrato e una griglia a gas separata.

Una grande sala al piano superiore a strati con 13 'soffitti e una parete di pannelli in vetro scorrevoli dispone di una zona soggiorno, camino, zona pranzo e un elegante stand up bar e McIntosh Stereo vintage. Mobili vintage della metà del secolo, arte e tessuti conferiscono un'aria di eleganza casual a questa stanza che non vuoi lasciare.

Un salotto aggiuntivo di livello inferiore con vetro dal pavimento al soffitto e TV ultra HD 4K offre un posto alternativo dove rilassarsi.

Quindi fai le valigie e preparati a divertirti: due ponti estesi, due aree patio aggiuntive, due aree soggiorno, 2 caminetti, jacuzzi privata, area terrazzata privata tra alberi di arance, limoni e ulivi, mangiare in cucina, sala da pranzo, spazio ufficio con WIFi e stampante, lavasciuga, lavastoviglie, telescopio, amaca, mobile bar e 6 TV HD.

A pochi minuti dalle famose spiagge di San Diego, Yacht Club, Shelter Island, Harbour Island, Gas Lamp Downtown, Convention Center, SeaWorld, Balboa Park, Zoo di San Diego, Seaport Village, Little Italy, Old Town e molti altri negozi e ristoranti sull'acqua.

Dopo una giornata di San Diego divertente e piena di sole, assicurati di trovare il tempo per rilassarti nella jacuzzi della vasca idromassaggio. Poi rilassati con la tua famiglia sui comodi mobili da salotto e sull'amaca all'aperto mentre osservi i meravigliosi tramonti.

The description by the host and rave reviews by guests are right on target. Our group of 7 women couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Beautiful setting, comfortable living and sleeping areas, ample bathrooms, well stocked kitchen, multiple lovely outdoor sitting areas and convenient location too!

Faith, Friendship, Food, Fun

Nine women, ages 85–73, headed to San Diego to celebrate 20 years of praying together. Communication with Susan from the very beginning was so easy. As the time got closer to our arrival date communication with Bruce was just as easy and professional. The house was a showcase of mid-century modern design. And the view was absolutely breathtaking. We loved seeing the city lights at night and seeing ships come in and out of the harbor. The location is ideal and we took advantage of getting to as many attractions as we could in the time that we had.We enjoyed every minute. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!

What a great place to stay while enjoying San Diego!This property gave 4 couples each a private suite. Supreme views

This house was fantastic. The pictures don’t do it justice, especially the incredible views! We had two families stay with a mix of adults, teens and kids. There was plenty of room, all needs catered for and the amazing architecture and decor really added to our enjoyment of our stay. Thanks to Bruce and Susan for being great hosts!

Incredibly unique experience…

This house is not just beautiful, it is a unique experience. Breathtaking views of San Diego and Coronado. Very spacious and comfortable. But the most incredible aspect is the authenticity of this mid century look. The furniture, the artwork, the lighting, the electronics, etc. were really impressive. I would highly recommend staying there. Also, the house manager, Bruce, was super responsive and helpful.

Fantastic home rental

We rented here for my mother's 80th birthday. The pictures on the listing caught my eye with all the beautiful views. When we got to the house and toured it, i thought it's all that and more. The locatiok is teriffic as its up on a hill in a quiet, residential area filled with expensive homes. You can walk to a grocery store,, starbucks and Dunkin Donuts, plus some restaurants and a bar or two. Its an easy drive to the beaches and to Gaslamp. The house architecture is amazing. The house has 2 huge decks with seating areas, a table fire pit and a hammock. There is an attractive wet bar, very nice grill area w mutilple grills, a hot tub, etc. 4 of us each had our own rooms with very comfortable beds and private baths. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The family room Sonos system was a nice perk. We would suggest upgrading the sauce pans with some new non-stick ones. Can't recommend this place enough. I could have sat on the deck w a beer and watxhed the view for hours and we did!

Perfect location for a large group of friends or family

Sometimes you don’t know what you’re going to get when you book something online. However, this place was even better than the pictures show!! It was so easy to reach from the airport. Bruce was so helpful and kind to get us checked in, and Susan ensured everything was lined up for us! The rooms are clean and bright, and all of the accommodations were extremely helpful. There were seven of us adults, and we used each and every room comfortably. Everything was well stocked and it was just perfect for us. The stunning house, location, and the nearby activities made this such an ideal little vacay. I would HIGHLY recommend this host and hope to come back too!! Three hours

My family had a wonderful time at this property. It was a great location and had a wonderful view of the area. It was almost like an untouched time capsule that captured a bygone era. Would recommend this property to anyone who appreciates classic architecture etc.

We had a great time at this property and it was perfect for our group. The decor is very tasteful, views are beautiful, and having so many bathrooms was really convenient for our 9 person group. The fridge broke early on in our stay, but the property managers were quick to provide us with a backup, which we appreciated.

Gorgeous Home and Amazing Views

We did a multi-generational family vacation and stayed here together. It was perfect! Having an en-suite for each bedroom was really convenient and it was nice to have floor for those who still napped separated from where folks were hanging out. I cannot express enough how beautiful this home and gardens are, nor how spacious this place feels while staying cozy. Strongly recommend!

Loved our stay

Our entire family loved the home and the views the property offered. While there were a few issues upon check in they were quickly addressed by the manager (thank you!!!). The hot tub brought a special experience as well both early in the morning and evening time. Will definitely travel back.
