Summary:
Steps to the ocean (4 houses down), Seabright beach (2 blocks) and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Come enjoy this historic house on E Cliff, there are even partial ocean views from the balcony & laughter from the boardwalk can be heard!

The Space:
- Comfortably sleeps up to 5 adults
- 2 bedrooms
- 2 bathrooms
- 1 reserved parking space in the garage (this is strictly enforced, as the parking area is shared with other units). There is parking on the street, but keep in mind an open spot is hard to come by during the busy months.
- Fully stocked kitchen w/ drip coffee maker
- Living room
- Deck with outdoor furniture

Note:
- No gatherings or parties allowed (strictly enforced)
- The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety.
- The home operates on a pump system, so only toilet paper can be flushed down the toilets. Even "flushable" wipes have caused significant issues in the past, leading to costly damage and sewage backups.
- Smart TVs with streaming capabilities (no local channels or cable).
- NO PETS

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire house & garage. Parking is strictly limited to the 1 car in garage (no driveway parking on the property) but there is also free street parking if needed. Larger vehicles will not fit in the garage.

Known for its stunning beaches along West Cliff Drive, it's a paradise for sunbathers, surfers, and outdoor enthusiasts. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk offers classic seaside fun with thrilling rides and amusements. The town's lively downtown area is dotted with eclectic shops, art galleries, and diverse dining options. Santa Cruz is also a hub for live music and cultural events, with the Santa Cruz Wharf offering spectacular ocean views and fresh seafood. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventures or relaxation, Santa Cruz has it all, making it a dynamic and inviting coastal destination.

This is not a good place for gatherings or parties so please keep that in mind when booking this home. We are very respectful of our neighbors and will not tolerate loud noise past curfew and additional guests at the property.

- Santa Cruz Main Beach & Boardwalk (15 min walk)
- Whole Foods, Safeway, etc. (5 min drive)
- Seabright Deli, Tramonti, Linda's Seabreeze (5 min walk)
- Santa Cruz Harbor (5 min drive)
- The Mystery Spot (10 min drive)
- Monterey Bay Aquarium (~1 hr drive)

Other Things to Note:
- The home operates on a pump system, so only toilet paper can be flushed down the toilets. Even "flushable" wipes have caused significant issues in the past, leading to costly damage and sewage backups.
- This is a 2-story home with living space located upstairs.
- Parking: There is a 1 car garage for guests to use (max 1 cars can be accommodated on the property). Larger vehicles will not fit in the garage. The driveway is shared with neighbors and there is no driveway parking. There is also free street parking available.
- This home is located on a shared lot with two other homes.
- **The twin room is intended for small children when 3 people are staying in this room & using the trundle bed. Please be aware it is a tight squeeze when all 3 beds are used (trundle is pulled out).
- We have landscapers, pest service, and other property maintenance done on a weekly basis. You may see or hear these service professionals during your stay as they let themselves into the backyard to service as needed. Please be sure to ask about this before booking if you think it might be an issue for you.
- TV is a smart tv with streaming capabilities. There are no cable or local channels.
- The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety.
- We are required to stick to our cancellation policy and we suggest adding trip insurance for any last minute issues that may impact your travel (Weather, Illness, etc). We are not able to cancel, move or refund bookings that do not fall in our cancellation policy for any reason.

Interaction with Guests:
We like to give guests their space to enjoy but are also available whenever needed!

The house was clean and well appointed. Great neighborhood and location. The only issue I had was parking my car in the garage. I really had to maneuver my midsized SUV into the spot. Getting out was just as tricky. I probably will not rent this place again. I don’t remember any size limit being mentioned for the parking.

Owners were thorough with all directions and instructions. House was very clean and comfortable, queen bed and pillows too! (We did not use twin beds) It’s nice to be able to park in a garage while on vacation. Very close to beach, can see a slice of the ocean from the deck. Easy walking to beach, restaurants, natural history museum. A two minute walk to watch the sunset everyday! It was only a $6 Uber to old town for dinner. Would stay here again!

Nice small rental. Very clean and new style. Really close to go see the ocean but you cant really get down to the sand easily. Close walk to the boardwalk.

My kiddos and I had a wonderful stay at this property. The property was clean and the instructions were easy to follow. It is walking distance to Verve, Betty's Burgers, Engfer Pizza Works, Tramonti, SeaBreeze Cafe and La Posta, just to name a few of our favorite eating spots. It is also walking distance to the Beach Boardwalk and Ocean View Park. Great spot for traveling with older children (8-12+). Already planning our next visit.

My family of 4 (including a 5 and 7 year old) had a great stay at the Surf House. The property is new, clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need. Lots of windows that really make the space feel open and bright. We loved that each room had its own HVAC unit so you could set each thermostat to your own preferred temperature. The location was great, walkable to the Boardwalk (where we spent a lot of our time), the beach, and a great assortment of restaurants and some shops. If our kids were a little older, we probably could have walked downtown too. Anything else was a short drive away. (Do heed the advice about parking. We were able to fit an SUV in the garage, but we were carefully threading that needle each time we pulled in and out). Communication with the management team was excellent. They were prompt and responsive to any of our emails and questions. We can't wait to stay at the Surf House again!
