“I arrived at 7:30 PM exhausted—front desk staff were great, no complaints there. The hotel is brand new (and very much still in a construction zone), but the real surprise was the youth soccer team treating the lobby like a FIFA training facility—balls flying into glass doors, windows, lights… chaos. The room? Built with what felt like tissue paper. I heard everything—cars, hallway chats, neighboring rooms. Special shoutout to Michelle and her husband—I was fully invested in your evening....

If you simply require a place to sleep in the Whyte Ave. neighbourhood, the Commercial is a good option. The historic pub downstairs is a bonus. “The faucet system is weak in BOTH the sink and shower. You hear noises in the rooms mechanisms when you try to sleep, there is no lock on the outside of the hotel room door. The crime situation is bad as well. I saw police in the parking lot when I exited for check out. Unless you have absolutely no care for the quality of your room to a savagely extent, don’t even look at the place, let alone stay here. ”
